NRC-IRAP
Two Research Objectives:
1. Rapid Capacity Measurement
Measuring the remaining capacity & estimating the remaining life cycle of each cell in a battery pack rapidly and easily, without having to disassemble it and with five times faster speed than the current standard methods.
2. Rebalancing Battery Cells
Rebalancing cells in an imbalanced battery pack and restore minimum 95% of the remaining capacity of the modules lost due to the imbalanced cell voltages. Again, our prototype can take 48 cells simultaneously, but with NRC’s consideration, only 12 cells were rebalanced simultaneously in this project.
